14th Birthday Party Conlfict!?
im turning 14 and have about 7-11 friends that i want to invite. at first it was Dave and Busters but now idk if there r other options. plz help!

That would be fun. but that place can get expinsive.
Depending on when your birthday is you could have a pool party.
Or get a hotel room some where near home or a big town but a semi-cheep but good hotel(La Quinta, Holiday Inn etc) and let some guys come but LEAVE before you go to sleep. If its cold on your birthday see if they have a indoor pool to go swimming. Play games but keep it clean.
Maybe at Gatti Town also.

Prayers for Bobby

Prayers for Bobby
Prayers for Bobby (2009)

IMDB rating: 8.40

Plot: In “Prayers for Bobby,” Mary Griffith is a devout Christian who raises her children with the conservative teachings of the Presbyterian Church. However, when her son Bobby confides to his older brother he may be gay, life changes for the entire family after Mary learns about his secret. While Bobby’s father and siblings slowly come to terms with his homosexuality, Mary believes God can cure him of what she considers his ’sin’ and persuades Bobby to pray harder and seek solace in church activities in hopes of changing him. Desperate for his mother’s approval, Bobby does what is asked of him, but through it all, the church’s apparent disapproval of homosexuality causes him to grow increasingly withdrawn and depressed. Guilty over the pain he is causing Mary, Bobby moves away, yet hopes that some day his mother will accept him. His subsequent depression and self-loathing intensifies as he blames himself for not being the ‘perfect’ son and is driven to suicide. Faced with their tragedy, Mary begins to question her faith when she receives no answers from her pastor concerning her devastating loss. Through her long and emotional journey, Mary slowly reaches out to the gay community and discovers unexpected support from a very unlikely source. The film is based on the 1995 Leroy Aarons book of the same name.

todd bertuzzi and steve moore?
if patrick roy was playing that night of the incident do you think he would beat the canucks goalie who was johan hedberg, and do you think he would go after bertuzzi. also were was adam foote, and i know rob blake got injured that night fighting jarko ruuto. should have the aves coach gotten after marc crawford that night after the game to comfront him about what happened and what he was smirking about when the incident happened.

Howe # 9, Wings and Habs rule! | Jan 23, 2010

I personally believe that if Roy was playing back then he would have hired a hit man. He tends to carry a vendetta about these sorts of things, and he doesn’t take crap from anyone. I mean look at the fight his son got into. He would, without a doubt, hit up the local crime lord and ask for Bertuzzi’s prize race horse to be decapitated and placed in his bed.

C.A. | Jan 23, 2010

I am with everyone else…it was a long time ago and time to move on for even the fans (I know….some people need a reason…any reason to hate). And I am not condoning what Bert did but interesting how so many forget that Moore was a dirty player who cheap shot Naslund (who was never the same either after Moore got hit dirty hit in on him). Had he the same amount of balls to man up as he had running around delivering cheap shots he would have just gotten it over with and fought (he didnt have to fight Bertuzzi….many guys went after him that night and he kept pussing out). I feel bad for the guy having such a bad thing happen to him but on the other hand here was a guy who didnt really deserve to be wearing an NHL sweater to begin with and was only an agitator and cheap shot artist….and a cowardly one at that. Had he fought early in the game Blake wouldnt have had to go with Ruuto and wouldnt have gotten injured himself. Again I am not making excuses or condoning what Bertuzzi did and all the grief and career damage he brought on himself but lets be honest about the whole thing….none of it happens is Moore hadnt intentionally tried to injure Naslund in the first place and certainly wouldnt have happened if he had the balls to back up his own dirty play (real agitators may play on the edge and sometimes cross the line of dirty play but they dont become cowards when called out and make teammates pay for their dirty play….the Canucks were going after the Aves good players all night if you paid any attention).

As fpr Roy…he understood that Moore needed to answer the bell and I doubt he would have gotten involved….Moore violated the hockey code by not manning up and Roy at least had respect for the unwritten rules of the game.

Seven Years in Tibet

Seven Years in Tibet
Seven Years in Tibet (1997)

IMDB rating: 6.60

Plot: Heinrich Harrer runs from trouble at home in WWII Austria to climb Mt. Nanga Parbat. After meeting unforseen obstacles, he comes into contact with the forbidden city of Lhasa.

Directors: Annaud Jean-Jacques

Actors: Pitt Brad,Mako,Thewlis David,Wong B. D.,Denzongpa Danny,Wong Victor,Wangchuk Jamyang Jamtsho,Dongtse Ama Ashe,Adventure,Biography,Drama,

i want to ask questions about the movie seven years in tibet?
1. Describe the power of the Tibetan Lamaisin in shipping the SPEET aspects of life in Tibet.

2. What are the strenghts and weaknesses of Tibetan Buddhism?

3. How did ”Brad Pitt” influence ”Dalai Lama” thoughts?

4. Explain the life and leadership of Dalai Lama

PLEASE HELP ME SEARCH!!
i will give u 10 points
i am just asking for your help
not really to answer all of them
i know its hard
but even just one question could help

1. Sorry, I don’t understand this question. What is "SPEET", for instance …?
2. The religion in itself only has strengths. It is useful on all levels, from working with your emotions in order to make you more relaxed, harmonious and joyful in the moment, up until showing you the way to ultimate liberation from all kinds of suffering and dissatisfaction in your life. In the Tibet at that time, however, there were some other problems, like a lack of understanding of how to adapt to the modern world, due to isolation and conservatism, but that was due to the historical situation, not due to the religion itself.
3. Heinrich Harrer (as he was called in real life) probably didn’t influence the Dalai Lama very much in reality. He isn’t even mentioned in the writings by the Dalai Lama himself about his childhood in Tibet. There were some other Westerners in Tibet also, at the time.
4. See:

Why are you asking us to spend so much time on each question about this movie? We don’t have time for this.
Boomer | Nov 01, 2009

Hello mAE, here something of your question:

Dalai Lama, of the Mongolian dalai, ocean, and of the Tibetan one licks (bla-ma), spiritual teacher or guru, are the spiritual leader of the Lamaism or Tibetan Buddhism, political leader of the Tibetan town before the invasion of China, and current leader of the Tibetan Government in the exile.
Generally translated as "ocean of wisdom", this title was forged by the Mongolian boss Genkhis Khan, when accepting Sonam Gyatso like exceptional teacher, encouraging to the Mongolian town to the conversion to the Buddhism vajrayana. Notice you that in this case, dalay was the translation of "Gyam-tsho" (Gyatso), the last name of the Dalai
The Tibetan Buddhists consider that the Dalai they are emanations of the Buddha Avalokite?vara, although he/she is not a teacher Buddha but one Bodhisattva, it is the boss from the Tibet and it is believed that, after their death, their slow subtle conscience an interval of forty nine days, at most, to be born again in a boy that already from their birth can give signs of their special character. Avalokite?vara is an important deity for the Tibetan Buddhism and it is considered in the teachings vajray?na like a buda. On the other hand, for the teachings mah?y?na it is seen rather as a bodhisattva of high level.
After the death of the Dalai, the Panchen takes charge of recognizing its reincarnation, or tulku (usually a boy) for these signs who the new Dalai will become . In turn, the Dalai it should recognize to the reincarnation of the Panchen after the death of this.
Traditionally, the Dalai it has been the spiritual leader and storm of the Tibet; Tenzin Gyatso, at the moment in the exile, after the occupation and forced annexation on the part of the Maoist China, has abandoned the traditional political pre-eminence, and a Secretary president of the Kashag has created (cabinet), chosen by universal vote.

Baader Meinhof Complex, The (2008)

IMDB rating: 7.40

Plot: Germany in the 1970s: Murderous bomb attacks, the threat of terrorism and the fear of the enemy inside are rocking the very foundations of the yet fragile German democracy. The radicalised children of the Nazi generation lead by Andreas Baader, Ulrike Meinhof and Gudrun Ensslin are fighting a violent war against what they perceive as the new face of fascism: American imperialism supported by the German establishment, many of whom have a Nazi past. Their aim is to create a more human society but by employing inhuman means they not only spread terror and bloodshed, they also lose their own humanity. The man who understands them is also their hunter: the head of the German police force Horst Herold. And while he succeeds in his relentless pursuit of the young terrorists, he knows he’s only dealing with the tip of the iceberg.

Finding a location in Berlin?
Hi

Is anybody Local to Berlin; or knows Berlin very well? I am travelling there in a few weeks and need to track a location down.

Ive seen the film "The Baader Meinhof Complex" and would like to see Ulrike Mienhof’s gravestone.
Ive been on Google Maps and tracked the location to:

Heilig-Kreuz-Kirchhof, Mariendorf,
Cemetery, which I believe is North of Tegel Airport.
Ive found U-Bhan stations around the area although they look a distance away. Does anybody know if the cemetery is in realistic walking distance; and how long it would take to walk from the nearest U-Bhan Station?

Also is the cemetery large; is her grave easy to locate. Ive tracked down its in "Zone A"? Does anybody know where that is in the cemetery?

Any help would be much appreciated
BT
UK

In reality Ulrike Meinhof is burried in the city of Stuttgart not in Berlin so you won’t find her gravestone there.
The burial was very controvers at the time the major of Stuttgart defended the right of the terrorists to get a burial place and said that with the dead even terrorists aren’t to be considered as public ennemies anymore

Am I ready to try for an agent?
I’m 15 years old and live in the greater Los Angeles area. I’ve taken high school drama class, a couple voice lessons, improv workshops (will start classes in January), and have been in 2 community theatre productions(Annie Get Your Gun- townswoman; Guys&Dolls- Lieutenant Brannigan. The producer changed the role from male to female for me to play). I understand all the conflicts and time and effort that will be put into it, but I’m wondering whether or not i’m ready. I want to submit when I turn 18 so I can be in control of my career and not my parents, but is it too late then? I am auditioning for an arts high school in my area and hope to go for either television & film, or acting. I also want to do background work this year to get experience on set and see how everything works. I have been to a couple live tapings of shows, but would like to see more of what goes on. Bottom line: Am I ready to submit? What should I do to better prepare myself?

Thank you!

Sounds like you’re getting a great start . . .yes, start!

Agent, nah . . . you don’t need one, apparently. You’re doing great all on your own. You don’t want your parents to be involved; thus, hold on submitting until you’re 18-years-old. Otherwise, you need to completely involve your parents.

You don’t understand all the time, etc. because you haven’t done it. You understand it intellectually; that is not the same as understanding it in reality.

If you do well, now . . . your life is never your own:
No proms . . . no parties . . . no boyfriends (no time, really) . . . no school dances . . . no time to just "hang out". Child/Teen actors, once they are grown, complain about the loss of their childhood and teen years.

Congratulations on the "arts" high school . . . that is great!!!
It’s "too late" to submit and pursue acting when you are six feet underground! And only then . . . Beginning actors (male or female) start at 6, 18, 21, 25, 30, 35 and even 45, 55 and one nearly 80! So, until your family and friends are gathered around your grave — it’s not too late! Puleezzze!

Background work will only be available to you with your parents full permission and signing you up at Central Casting. Your parents will have to sign for this.

No, you’re not ready to submit; you need to prepare yourself exactly as you are! Yes, you are doing all the right things! Classes, workshops, performing at school and in community theatre and going for a performing arts high school. Keep on doing all of this!

Also, buy the weekly newspaper, Backstage West, for bunches of auditions; in which, you do not need an agent. Professional work, too!

Read these books . . . they do help:

"How To Agent Your Agent" by Nancy Rainford
"Respect For Acting" by Uta Hagen
"Acting Professionally" by Robert Cohen

"Ask And It Is Given" by Jerry and Esther Hicks

Papillon

Papillon
Papillon (1973)

IMDB rating: 7.90

Plot: Based on the true story of Henri Charriere, also known as Papillon, which is French for ‘butterfly’ (the character even sports a large tattoo of a butterfly. A petty criminal, Papillon is wrongly convicted of murder and sentenced to life in a French penal colony in ‘Guiane’ (French Guiana, South America). Papillon is determined to escape but attempt after attempt meets with difficulty, resulting in eventual recapture. He continues his attempts to escape despite incarcerations in solitary confinement as punishment.

Papillon owners what are the pros and cons of this breed?
I think I want to get a papillon ( a Phalene possibly) and I’ve done a lot of research , but I want to know from people who own this breed, what are some pros and cons about them. Please include anything that you think I should know about paps before I get one ( I like to prepare ahead of time)

Btw is it safe for a pap to live with a dog that is about 12-15 inches ( would a dog that height be considered small or medium ?)

No rudeness please thank you : )
Thank you so much guys! I don’t have any dogs now, but I wanted to get a Japanese Spitz too and I was worried that it might be to big to live with a pap.

Thank you once again : )

The major pros about this breed is their personality. They are very outgoing and friendly. They are also very smart. In fact Papillons are ranked in the top ten of most intelligent dog breeds, the only toy breed that is in the top ten. So you will have no problems training them. My own Papillons took 2 days to learn sit. They are also very people needy. There is a saying in the Papillon community that you never go to the bathroom by yourself anymore. They will constantly be at your heels. Thankfully this breed doesn’t really suffer from a lot of genetic diseases. There are only 2 things they are prone to and that is patellas problems and progressive retinal atrophy.

Some cons about this breed is their intelligence. If you can’t keep up with them mentally they will destroy the house very easily. They are not a lap dogs, just because they are in the toy breed does not mean they will just lay around the house. This is an active breed and will only be on your lap for a second. You will have to put in the time to take them on walks or playtime. And also they do take a while to housebreak. My oldest Papillon is still learning and he is nearly 8 years old. While my second Papillon learned it in about 6 months. They are also heavy shedders. You might want to invest in a very strong vacuum or some lint rollers if you like dark clothing. You will find after a while their hair covering every inch of your dark cloths and furniture. Their barking might get annoying if you don’t bother to train them. However my own Papillons who are trained will bark when someone is at the door but will stop after I tell them to be quiet. Their coat will require weekly brushing and grooming.

As for other dogs, it is not recommended for Papillons to live with other breeds that are 20 lbs heavier than they are. Papillons may not believe they are delicate but they do break if they rough house with a larger dog.

I have 2 little Pap girls right now and have had the breed for 11 years. They are WONDERFUL little dogs! Way more pros than cons.

Pros…They are highly intelligent, easy to train. They are little clowns that just live to make their people laugh. They are very devoted and want to be near you all the time… I haven’t gone to the bathroom alone since I got Papillons!

Cons… they are hard to housebreak, their bladders are tiny as puppies, and if you aren’t diligent they will pick up bad habits quick. They are very intelligent… and will use their intelligence against you. They have NO idea how small they are and will often start a tiff with other dogs. They are somewhat fragile. (although you’d never tell it with my 2!)

As far as other dogs… I also have 2 Gordon Setters that weigh about 75-80 lbs each. We all share a bed at night. My Pap puppy Bunny wrestles with the Setters regularly. As long as you introduce them properly there should be no problem.

Best of luck with your puppy!
