Night of the Comet (1984) IMDB rating: 6.10 Plot: Two sisters, high school seniors in the early 1980s, awaken one morning to blood red skies and the realization that the human race has been wiped out. It becomes apparant that anyone who was not surrounded by steel when the Earth recently passed through the tail of Haley’s comet has been reduced to a pile of red ash (the trace elements of human chemical makeup.) They encounter a rebellious Native American man and take over the air waves at a local radio station in an attempt to get help. Unfortunately, they attract the attention of a group of scientists who knew what the effects of the comet would be. They hid underground in a steel laboratory, but idiotically left the vents open. Now, as various survivors of the comet who were only partially surrounded by steel are decaying into flesh-hungry zombies, the scientists are attempting to come up with a vaccine made of the blood of people who were not infected by the comet. Thus the trio must fight their way past not only roving packs of the cannibalistic dead, but also outsmart a pack of scientists desperate not to become that way themselves.

Mystery sighting in the Sky?
Last Night, just after the New Years Eve countdown, my friends & I went outside.
We looked up at the sky, just seeing the moon and how bright it was, the sky being very clear. Then suddenly, we saw this red/orange thing going through the sky rather fast.
It was almost like a comet without a tail. & Some what like a UFO.
I talked to My friends, outside of the party. & My friend from Manchester said that she saw it too, & she lives like 2 hours & a half a way from Me. Another Friend said that she also saw it, but apart from its usual.
So mine & my friends guess are that maybe it was something like a ufo, or a chinese lantern thing, that are released. But it doesn’t explain the rapid movement of it, because it was hardly windy at all outside?
This sighting was over Buckinghamshire.

Yes even I had seen that red-orange thing in india the next night. You said it was without tail but I could see a reddish yellow tail and it was moving very fast. Many people have seen such thing earlier too but this time a telescope from Hyd Birla planetarium had confirmed that such things were seen before too and confirmed it was a UFO. They argued it could not be a comet or mars although it had a small reddish yellow tale !!

If it was a chinese lantern and it was moving that fast then it would be the wind but the problem is, the wind moving that fast would destroy it and blow out the inside light

Most likely, it would be a Chinese Lantern from Taiwan, or China. If it isn’t, it would be a kind of natural phenomenon. It could be a UFO though, but the possibilities are slim

Chinese lanterns. Saw a load go off last night at midnight. What the wind speed is with you at the ground is different at other heights. The ones I saw last night moved quicker than the wind was at ground level. It is also misleading to guess wind speed without a hint, finger in there air is not as good as seeing something carried by it.

Like 99.9% of all UFO reports in the UK this year, it was a Chinese lantern. Every damned weekend and holiday people all over the UK let these things off, and then people like you report them as UFOs.

Dream about someone invisible driving a car?
my dream was that i was in school in 8th period and i was on my way down the hallway when i was accidentally going to 3rd period. so i stopped and throughout this whole dream i realized that i was dreaming so i yelled "NOOOOOO!!!" so i said to myself "this is a dream, im not getting in trouble." so i closed my eyes and i thought to be at this forest with tigers there and ten it happened. then the scene changed and i was in this car in the passenger seat. there was no one in the drivers seat but the car was driving. i felt a presence there and i saw the steering wheel and the seat moved back so there was a ghost/spirit riding the car. the ghost kept running stop signs (i forgot to mention it was dark outside) and when it stopped there were other people in a car and a man in the passenger seat had a gun pointed at me and he fired, everything then was in slow motion i saw the bullet coming right towards me in slow motion but then it just bounced off some sort of invisible shield. then the ghost rode away quickly and then after a while i took the steering wheel and i jerked it to the right and then the car crashed into this house. the people in the house got out to see what was wrong. i wasnt hurt at all and i was going to go in the drivers seat to drive and kill myself (in real life i dont hate life so i dont know why i would be trying to kill myself in my dream). anyway, when i hoped over to the drivers seat i felt a cold hand grab my ankles i guess trying to not let me get in the drivers seat and kill myself. the dream ended when the invisible cold hand was grabbing my ankle. i was thinking that the "ghost" was my guardian angel or something but i dont know. what does the dream mean?

The presence driving the car would be God/the Universe/The Divine. You are not in control of everything going on around you, and sometimes, things seem a little strange (i.e. going to 8th period but suddenly going to 3rd); things seem backwards sometimes, or out of order, but all is for your highest good and greatest growth.

Perhaps the whole scenario with the guy shooting at you is that you feel persecuted by someone right now, and don’t know how to deal with it or to tell anyone about it. When you take control of the wheel, you crash into a house. So you make mistakes sometimes, but they are because you either don’t know better or someone is guiding you in a negative or wrong way. Killing yourself could be a symbol of self sabotage or making decisions against your own interest. Again, at the end, God/The Universe/The Divine steps in to protect you.

Crashing into the house could also be a cry for help in a way.

looking for the name of a movie i saw about 5 years ago.?
Saw a movie about 2 couples going on a yacht. Before boarding the boat, crew member has an argument with his girlfriend and strikes her. The boat takes off with both couples, the captain and his staff including the abusive crew member. His girlfriend goes home and promptly starts doing voodoo rituals. Along the trip the crew member allows a fire on board that causes the yacht to sink. The only survivors are the crew member and a couple. The husband already dislikes the crew member because he witnessed the incident involving the girlfriend. The crew member starts an affair with the wife on a deserted island. Throughout the movie there are scenes of the scorned girlfriend performing voodoo rituals. eventually the woman gets rescued and leaves her husband behind. I would really like the name of this movie. I think the title has the word "island" in it.

Should I or shouldn't I ask him out?
I just need a little push in the right direction of should I or shouldn’t I here.

My ex-boyfriend and I have had a bit of a wobbly relationship over the last 2 years. We’ve broken up and got back together twice but have currently been broken up for the past 6 months. During that time he did get a new girlfriend but I found out that lasted only a month and he has been single ever since.

We still talk like old friends and get along very well with each other. The last time we broke up he mentioned only being friends.
